QInsights in Practice: A PhD Student’s Experience

Embarking on a PhD journey is often described as a marathon a demanding process that tests your patience, focus, and perseverance. As a qualitative researcher focusing on community-based participatory research and fatherhood and social change in South Africa, I quickly realized that one of my greatest challenges wasn’t gathering the data, but making sense of it. The countless pages of interviews, focus group transcripts, and reflective notes felt both rich and daunting.
